Ever since I'm so busy when I bought my new laptop, I dun even have time to review about it LOL xD Now let's take a look at my new Dell XPS M1530 which I bought a few months ago == ... Ok let's start with the pricing. I bought it when it is on promotion for RM3999 (6 Cell Battery) & today I check Dell's website, with the same spec and it cost RM4341 (9 Cell Battery).. The price just increased hell yeah!! xD
Lets skip all those detail info abt my laptop yar. It's a gaming rig. (nVidia GF8600 DDR3.. what you expect?) However, I have some likes and dislikes about this laptop.
Likes: design, graphic card, weight (pretty light compared to others around this size), fingerprint reader (just swipe my finger & login straight to desktop without the need to type my long password ==), media shortcut buttons (very nice & convenient)
Dislikes: no button or shortcuts to disable touch pad, size (15.4" is to big to carry around even it is light [I choose this because of the graphic card :P]), speakers (not as loud as I want it to be[Altec Lansing speakers in HP is much better :/]), when battery is removed the whole laptop not stable (there is a "base supporter" or whatever you call that at the battery), DVD-slot (some burned disc cant be read in different laptops) & it is very noisy when insert disc into it, Windows Vista (heck this OS eat a lot RAM & there is no option for XP), Numpad function (need press Fn for the numbers instead of straight pressing them [very not good when playing games which need to use this >:O]), port cant support my M2 card reader (I'm using Sony Ericsson phone, M2 card, cant plug them in is not a good thing), adapter wire is quite short
In conclusion, looks like there are more dislike rather than likes for me with my new laptop. Overall I'm more than satisfied with it :) but sometimes I just wish I had another spare Tablet PC just to carry around :P
