Farewell for now...

Kinda lazy to write a lot for this post but for remembrance again I'll just go briefly :) My Monday night's dinner ended up in a steakhouse...

For people who wanted to have a meal in TGI Friday's but short of cash, this is quite a good alternative place to be (well this steakhouse doesn't sell buffalo steaks at all so dun worry ==)

For starters something for us to eat while waiting... this is called appetizers! (not like u r dumb or something :X)

Then we will have our main course.. The taste for the foods are fare enough but definitely not a high level gourmet (ugh.. as if i can judge a food.. i'm not a Simon Cowell for food :P)

Attendance! 1..2..3..4..5..6! 6 people sitting in a car~ (hey wait..isn't that breaking the law that the govt is trying hard to reinforce? :D)

So this dinner turned out or can be said as a farewell party.. So the next day i came back to my hometown.. Next morning i test drive a new plasma TV from Panasonic xD

Since Malaysia channels are so outdated (not using digital signal yet[no High-Definition(HD)]), i plug in my lappy using the HDMI cable to the plasma... this adds another new dislike about my lappy~ once i plug it in, the whole laptop became an electroshocker device which may shock u when u touch it == (i rly dunno how to put it into words ;/) So i could say the plasma was ok but of course not as powerful and high perf as Pioneer's money burning plasmas @@

Next day.. i followed Daniel to ... my secondary school (which i hate the most but just curious to find out how it would change) xD
Just a glimpse of this old school.. ntg much changed.. just the reallocations of the classes.. hmm.. well i managed to meet with one of my teacher only which is my add maths (one of the few subject that i dun like) teacher.. well she was happy to meet me -.- i'm so glad to make some1 happy xD

One conclusion, time flies! You just to realize it~ we will say farewell at times but theres ntg beats good memories.. (i'm trying to b philosphical =D .. but it's lame IMO... i know i know.. ;P)

First Experiences in MUM

K.. since i never thought of writing abt this, but somehow the program which i recently downloaded reminds me of the past yet again xD this program called John's Background Switcher actually switches ur desktop background as u set it to be. very neat indeed! that is how i saw the pictures & decided to update my blog yet again..

cool scrap effect! you can get the program at John's Background Switcher

first time being in Monash campus (July 2007).. the building from this view looks nice

welcome to Monash's lecture hall located in the basement (hardly have signal for phones) & equipped with crappy table-chairs ==

this is Monash's cafeteria chicken rice shop.. they come with extra ingredient in the soup! try it! (wth i dun even know whether i accidentally eat this == nvr realize this until i fin eating & finishing the soup)

My first accomodation in Monash uni.. Mentari Court!! here u can find all sort of nationalities & dangers ==

first let me introduce u the lift! wow so bright!! (i think if a ghost is in there u will nvr get 2 c it also LOL)

this lift is often abused by people like .. uhm... :P

Then i move to the condo due to some safety & travelling issues..

the view from my room in the condo.. this pic i took last year b4 they start construction for South Quay.. wow its so clean.. now its so darn dirty d ==

**UPDATES: since some1 requested the before & after pics of the "lake", here it is**

Before

After

As you can see the "lake" before is much cleaner. If you can't see the difference... it means that either my eyes or your eyes is something wrong :P

crappy condo with crappy internet connection & stuffs at least provide a clean swimming pool (ugh not always clean SWT)

Time is flies.. everything is moving so fast that you can't even notice what u missed (ugh wad am i saying LOL).. Just appreciate what u hav now ;)

Dell XPS M1530

Ever since I'm so busy when I bought my new laptop, I dun even have time to review about it LOL xD Now let's take a look at my new Dell XPS M1530 which I bought a few months ago == ... Ok let's start with the pricing. I bought it when it is on promotion for RM3999 (6 Cell Battery) & today I check Dell's website, with the same spec and it cost RM4341 (9 Cell Battery).. The price just increased hell yeah!! xD

All I can say that this laptop got an awesome exterior as well as interior!

Heck, it's 15.4 inches and it is still lighter than most laptops around this big ==

Aluminum brush palm rest..Mmmmmm xD

Lets skip all those detail info abt my laptop yar. It's a gaming rig. (nVidia GF8600 DDR3.. what you expect?) However, I have some likes and dislikes about this laptop.

Likes: design, graphic card, weight (pretty light compared to others around this size), fingerprint reader (just swipe my finger & login straight to desktop without the need to type my long password ==), media shortcut buttons (very nice & convenient)

Dislikes: no button or shortcuts to disable touch pad, size (15.4" is to big to carry around even it is light [I choose this because of the graphic card :P]), speakers (not as loud as I want it to be[Altec Lansing speakers in HP is much better :/]), when battery is removed the whole laptop not stable (there is a "base supporter" or whatever you call that at the battery), DVD-slot (some burned disc cant be read in different laptops) & it is very noisy when insert disc into it, Windows Vista (heck this OS eat a lot RAM & there is no option for XP), Numpad function (need press Fn for the numbers instead of straight pressing them [very not good when playing games which need to use this >:O]), port cant support my M2 card reader (I'm using Sony Ericsson phone, M2 card, cant plug them in is not a good thing), adapter wire is quite short

In conclusion, looks like there are more dislike rather than likes for me with my new laptop. Overall I'm more than satisfied with it :) but sometimes I just wish I had another spare Tablet PC just to carry around :P

Epilogue

Thank goodness it's finally over.. 2 days back to back exam for 2 different subject is definitely a killer! It took me less than 24 hours to study the 2nd paper.. LOL.. and I think I did quite well in that paper [keep my finger crossed xD]

Now, I regained back my energy to write this blog after few days of resting.. Heck last week was one hell of a week.. Thursday & Friday exam, Friday & Saturday worked as Student Helper for Monash's info day, zzz.. it surely took me few days to recover back my strength ==

Even though Friday is tiring, it is kinda fun too. The exam, work, & KungFu Panda movie was surely fun! (lots of people laughing in during the movie Oo)

This picture certainly looks funny at some point.. err?.. ==

Saturday comes & it's my first time working from 9am to 5pm like other working people xD .. My job was to bring visitor tour around the campus. My first tour gave me the worst experience in my life. Other people finish touring the campus less than 40minutes. My 1st last for 2 hours. 2 HOURS OMG!! Apparently have to give tour to an Indian family. Myself have to handle this 1 whole family alone... well apparently all the other Student Helpers are missing == ... On that night I crash hard on my bed and try to rejuvenate myself back.. My muscles are aching like an old man SWT!!

Here I am.. back in business muahahahahahahahaaa!! Monash, c u nxt sem!!
