Living for others..

Alright time to update my blog to shoo away spiders from my web xD As I was going through the movies stored in my external hard-disk, I watch again a little part of this movie called Ghost Town (yeah.. I know.. I know.. I watch really weird unknown movies)

Okay.. so happened it is the scene where the protagonist was lost and trying to find his way back by seeking back advices from his colleague. So, his colleague showed him a poster hanging on top of the wall which quotes:

So I want to thank both the movie, Ghost Town, as well as Einstein for this inspiring quote and for reminding me the way I used to lived: to make a fool out of myself while making others happy =X

Anyway, I'm glad that more students are contributing to the society.. Can see this through the trip to PAWS Animal Shelter in Subang!

People come and go.. but one thing I'm glad is that the number of people going to PAWS is increasing :) I don't care what's their purpose of doing charity work, either it is for friend, society, etc, but I know that they are doing this for others (if you're still waiting for the punchline, see the quote on top, and if you still don't get it, I'm sorry it's over [see Singapore's Drag Queen Kumar] =P)

Bad ending for the month of October

Well, I don't know how to start this but I can say that life is unexpected! It is full with surprises - good or bad. It's already the end of October and I can say that it didn't end that well! Why? Cause I'm unlucky.. So unlucky.. Very unlucky.. -_-" So you might ask what happened?! This is what happened:

An imbecile Mercedes collided my car when the imbecilic driver tries to park his imbecile car.. Luckily the detriment wasn't severe at all - just a minor scrape.. but still.. GAH!!!

Alright this happened the night of October 30 when was out dinner in Ming Tien. I double-parked outside and sat at the table just next to my car.. Suddenly, got one B-Class Mercedes came from the wrong direction in the one-way road -_-" Then it wanted to park behind of my car and this fler like no skill at all turn in and collided the side at the back of my car. Thanks to Ms Mandy (Mrs Tang =P) who managed to negotiate RM30 out of this (BTW, this is my first time experiencing such things and therefore I just watch how she did it cause I'm still learning! - Ancora Imparo).. Thirty freaking bucks for this small scratch! Just WOW!! Cause that imbecile lou bak (uncle) also quite reluctant to pay that much.. Here is what I can remember about that lou bak:

Anyway, I really don't understand why rich people are so kiamsiap (greedy).. So damn lot of money can buy Mercedes B-Class worth RM210k also so freaking reluctant to pay a little extra for the damage that he did..

Just FYI, this is what Mercedes B-Class looked like.. Just beware of any Mercedes (especially the new ones)! Seriously man.. they think they got a lot money buy expensive car but then they don't know how to drive them properly.. zZz!!

Another thing that pisses me off is Streamyx.. They came out with such a radical marketing strategy, a direct counter to P1 Wimax's marketing campaign! P1 Wimax ask to "potong" (cut) and now Streamyx ask not to "potong" claiming they are the best bla bla.. What nonsense? Hello?!! Streamyx, please fix your service before spitting out nonsense! I paid darn lot for your 4MB broadband line and what you give me? An unstable connection which keeps disconnecting.. WTF?!

I will get disconnected randomly once every few minutes.. So irritating! I can't download or surf website properly! Just so sick of it.. Minimum 1 year contract some more.. effing stupid!! If terminate before 1 year,  they will eat up all the deposit (4MB deposit is damn lot) This is what most Malaysian corporations do; they will do anything all in the name of money.. Eff.. Mr Hammond is also furious about this:

Happy Examination!!

First of all, I want to wish everyone Happy Examination!! :X Alright, my head is a bit off cause I just finished my first paper today. Didn't manage to finish it because I went to the loo for a short while [of course I didn't do big business] -_-" If I didn't go, I can finish it on time (just need 5 minutes more) LOL!

Anyway, I don't like to use the word "studying" for exams as I think the word "revising" is a much more appropriate no? Cause I did not just started studying for a subject ;P While revising, got bored, and do silly things:

It's the beacon of hope, the light of perfection that illuminate at the darkest time, the flame that ignite us!! It's lame!! Hahaha.. xD

Can draw nonsense some more - I'm partially conscious when drawing this.. Such a funny illustration :P

So what if it hurts me? So what if I break down? So what if this world blows me off the edge, my feet run out of ground? I got to find my place! I want to hear my sound! Don't care about all the pain in front of me! I just want to be HAPPY!!!!!!

Perhaps the lyrics reflects what I am thinking in my head right now and that's why this song stuck in my mind? Hmm.. I read about this theory somewhere before though.. Anyway, to all Monashians, all the best again in exams! ;D

Awake..

Question of the day: How do you wake up everyday? Do you:- wake up to your alarm?; force yourself up for class?; snooze until fully awake?; wake up automatically early in the morning?; etc.? Well, I reckon you know how you wake up everyday. So now hear me say this: the way that you wake up tells a little story about your current life. This is of course not scientifically proven but I believe this is true. Let's start!

Waking up to the irritating noise of the alarm, shutting it off quickly, forcing yourself to freshen up to get the day started shows that you have an obligation to fulfill, like a job or assignment to complete or even perhaps attending examination. However, if you are still snoozing after the alarm rings, this shows that you are demotivated. You have no purpose, no motivations in life. Well, another possible reason for this is that you are exhausted - in this case, you should consider to exercise more often.

On the bright side, if you wake up early in the morning without the help of the alarm clock or wake up hastily after the alarm rang, well, I can say that you are the type of person who can't wait to live another day of your life - meaning that you are highly motivated, have a purpose in life or even keen to experience/see something/someone. A good example would be that if you have a crush on a person that you know that you will see him/her, let's say in the LRT station, everyday at the same time, you will surely get up from bed in this manner just to be able to see him/her.

By now you will think that I'm blabbering nonsense. Actually, I'm not sure myself too but since this is what I thought, might as well I express it in my own space on the net. Who cares right? Bleh.. The important thing that I wanted to point out is that I hope you are highly motivated and know your purpose in life. I know I'm still struggling at this point so pardon me..

Dissapointing New Flavors

I reckon that I really need to blog more often as assignments and examinations should not be one of the many excuses to not write anything and share it. Yup, I'm hoping to break the pact of laziness! Question of the day: Have you tried the new flavors of Pringles? After coughing almost every time I took a bite of it, I'm proud to say  that I did, well.. at least not all the flavors - thank God!

Walking around Sunway Pyramid one fine day,  trying to buy and restock stuffs, and as passing through the main entrance of Guardian pharmacy, with its new packaging and flavors, Pringles tempted me, yet I couldn't help myself but to satisfy my inquisitiveness and that is when I decided to purchase it.

The two regretful flavors I've purchased was Grilled Shrimp which tasted like the keropok where you can buy it cheaply and the horrid Soft-Shell Crab which tasted like sea water and I coughed every time I put a slice into my mouth. This conclusion is arrived solely based on my taste-buds and I have no intention to offend anyone who loves these new flavors by Pringles.

Nevertheless, I guess I'll stick to the old flavors like BBQ or Cheese. I really don't know how they can sell these horrible flavors in the market. So, if you are reading this, I strongly advise you to stick to the old flavors, if you ever buy Pringles! I managed to finish the Grilled Shrimp and I'm trying to force the Soft-Shell Crab down my throat *GAH*

Halloween came early..

Just got a feeling that I need to update my blog =) Here is a little update of myself.. Halloween came early for me this year (even I don't celebrate it)..

Tadaa! Even though it looks a bit hideous, I still feel proud that I actually made this all by myself!! :D

Okay this event is not actually to celebrate Halloween (just that I consider this as a pre-Halloween celebration).. This is MEMS's "Illumination" gathering.. Just look at other people's creation!

The President did a great job by providing us with lots of food and beverages! There's BBQ!! :))

Here's another creation of mine.. What does it looked like to you? To be honest, I'm obsessed with dinosaurs ever since I was young.. They're too cute!!

Real Ancient..

Monash University's mid-semester break.. well not a mid but more to end-semester break -_-" ..back to ancient town.. found ancient stuff.. =P

Have you seen these before? ;P These are diskettes! They can store up to 1MB each.. Well, the younger generation should appreciate USB flashdrives we have today! -_-"

Well, I tried to use my ancient PC to online.. This is one of the main reasons why I don't online when I'm in Melaka =X

Last month, I broke my personal record of posting up 18 blog post in a month xD However, I have lots of "business" to attend this period of time.. Guess I will not be updating that often anymore (but I will try my very best to update - despite of the scheduled post I've written a long time ago :P) Sorry guys..

Well, I went back to my hometown during the mid-semester break.. Not a holiday at all! After going there and here, and here and there, I wished that there are more than 24 hours a day..

Hmm.. I find that the settings of this place is quite interesting.. The bank really a lot money too spend -_-" Alright this is so random.. GAH! Skip it! Must be my brain malfunctioning at this time of the day.. Walkathon '09, here I come!!

NKF Life Check

If you are a Monashian, you might realized that the NKD Life Check is long over by now which means this is one of my scheduled post =P After comparing this year's NKF result with last year's, I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of the NKF's life check. No offense but I'm really not trying to defame the National Kidney Foundation! Check out the snapshots of my NKF results below:

This is my 2008 result and below is my 2009 result:

As you can see, my Body Mass Index (BMI) increased from 22.2 to 22.7 (doesn't matter much to me actually). The real problem now is that I'm 1cm shorter compared to last year? How is that even possible?! Also, my waist circumference drop from 91cm to 84cm?! What the eff?! That's 7cm difference and if my tummy did shrunk, why the eff my weight increased from 70.6kg to 71kg? This is not making sense to me at all!! This really questions the accuracy of the NKF life check!

Anyway, this year's result shows that I have low cholesterol (bad news for me!) Is it maybe because that I lost my appetite recently (this explains why I never blog about food for such a long time) which causes this? Oh well, looks like I need to find some joy in seafood or perhaps bakuteh =X

Quick Trip to PAWS

Alright.. at first, I have no intention to write about this but since there is a special request for me to do so.. & so.. here it is! It will be quite a short one though since I didn't take much pictures at PAWS (my hands are covered with paint xD) The morning of Monday, 28/9/2009:

We are supposed to leave Monash University for PAWS at 9AM but ended up leaving at 9.30AM.. LOL! Need wait for people to come.. (nampaknya tidak boleh guna DHL lagi sebab dia lambat sangat :X)

This is the scenery when we arrived at PAWS.. Hmm.. don't know why those two stared at each other so seriously.. Hmm.. "一柱擎天" LOL!! Sorrylah!! Can't help it but to put in those words.. =P

The puppies are so darn cute!!!!!!

This time, we are going to repaint the walls outside PAWS!! So, people are assigned accordingly to paint the wall, do the dogs & do the cats..

Since I'm one of the people who did the repainting, my shorts was horribly tainted by the paint :( Sad man! I kinda like this shorts but I got no others better so sacrifice -_-" Even worse case:

The stupid turpentine discolored my new pair of slippers especially the right one!! SUPER SAD!! This is the second time I wear this slippers (it's a new pair of slippers okay for crying out loud!! ARGH!) and it got damaged so badly.. (to AJ: Padini slippers are not as expensive as those Nike or Quicksilver or even Billabong okay? I'm not that rich -_-")

So after all that painting and stuff, we went to Fullhouse in Ara Damansara which is just a few minutes drive* from PAWS..

* EHEM! With illegal method used! xD

Give > Take

The last time I posted about the Monash Ball 2009, I forgot to mention something which is sort of related to this post.. There is a lucky draw during the ball.. Apparently, that "sun of a beach" don't know how to pick a ticket number out properly.. Most number he took out are 07XX or 08XX (I can't remember..) This is not fair!! Why he took out tickets only from one part of the box?.. Sad!!!

A freakin' lucky gal got a Samsung Omnia!! OMGWTFBBQ!! FYI, Samsung Omnia worth around RM2k!! OMGWTFBBQ again!! Okay.. to sum it up they gave away Epson printer, iPod Shuffle, perfume, etc etc. zZz.. I'm so damn unlucky!! (T.T) Oh wells, that the topic this time: to give more than what you take.. In this case I gave RM80 to go to the ball and took less stuff (sucky food and empty handed)

Aiya.. since some people want to see some photo.. here it is..  =P Actually I'm in the midst of collecting my pictures scattered around in my friends' camera (cause I felt too embarrassed to use my phone to take picture.. PAISEH!!).. So this is the one of the first pictures I received xD Hmm.. if my hair was longer, I can do sort of Adam Lambert style but oh wells.. :X

I just learned something really valuable which is that in life, you must give more than you take! I used to give more than what I take but then due to some reasons, I don't anymore. So, from today onwards, I will give more than I take.. That means doing stuff without expecting something in return.. (now I really know what am I doing in LEO) Why don't you too try to do so? Give it a try and perhaps you will live a happier life :)

Monash Ball 2009 at Sunway Hotel

Been thinking of lots of deep and negative thoughts lately.. Lost my appetite and spirit.. This must be one of the downside in my life.. So, I try to "enjoy" myself in Monash Ball but it didn't quite work out.. [not to say the ball sucks but it just too mediocre for me.. nothing big] The theme of this year is Vogue which means you can see many people wearing high-fashion clothing.. As for me, I just wear my old outfit (no coat or vest) which is so normal that I feel a little inferior.. 25th of September, the day of the ball.. I can see many people are excited over it but for no reason, I'm not.. Girls took hours to makeup themselves and lots of people ended up late for the ball..

Look at the crowd of latecomers waiting to go into the hall.. Well, it's almost 8.30pm and I'm glad there are others who are as late as me..

After the wait, we finally managed to get into the hall missing only a few boring performances (arrival of VIP thingy).. The picture shown above is where I sat.. It's way back to the end of the hall and since it is so hard to see anything from this place, thanks to the to the waiter/waiteress walking around and some standing in the middle showing their backsides (HELLO?! Can you move?! I don't want to see your arse!! Urgh.. whatever..) and the stage or wherever the perform is too low, I cannot see a thing at all (resolved by standing up)..

This is the menu: Green Bean and Prawn Timbale, Fresh Herb Salad and Confit Tomatoes; Superior Chicken Broth with Lemongrass and Wantan; Grilled Herb Brushed Spring Chicken Confit Garlic Polenta Cake, Roasted Vegetables and Honey Mustard Sauce; Coconut Crème Brulee Pineapple Maple Syrup Ice Cream and Sugar Snap; Orange Cordial. Okay.. those are a very long name for a dish -_-" Oh wells, at least you know what ingredients they used..

Orange Cordial.. 'nuff said!

Green Bean and Prawn Timbale, Fresh Herb Salad and Confit Tomatoes. I don't like the waiters serve the table.. They randomly serve the food to people (some get to eat first and some just stare at them & sadly, I'm one of the person staring at others enjoying their food -_-")!! This dish is not bad actually.. it is of average only for me :P

Superior Chicken Broth with Lemongrass and Wantan. Well, well.. I paid RM80 to eat this chicken and wantan soup which I get everytime I order a Wantan Noodle =_=

This is Grilled Herb Brushed Spring Chicken Confit Garlic Polenta Cake, Roasted Vegetables and Honey Mustard Sauce. Such a long name -_-" Okay.. this.. I don't like the flavoring of it.. It is as if the flavors are not harmonized in this dish.. Weird!! I not so like it..

Finally, Coconut Crème Brulee Pineapple Maple Syrup Ice Cream and Sugar Snap. I can say this dessert flavors are all over the place! If I mix each and every bit of the thing in this mug, I can taste something weird.. If I eat bits by bits, I can taste lots of different flavors which do not exist in harmony =X However, there is one part of this dish that taste good and since my taste became unresponsive, I don't know what is that taste..

There are many entertainers who came to the ball.. Henry Golding (don't know who is this), Sarah Lian (heard before but don't know who she is.. hope she's not Ah Lian), Esther (some local TV singing competition candidate), Reshmonu (oh yeah.. I know this guy :D) and some others which I don't even know what are their names..

What I think of this ball? Everything is a rush! The dance floor opened a little to late, and there is such a limited time for people to dance! The songs that they played are so inappropriate for a "ball".. Plus, AHH.. enough for scrutinizing (I don't want to get sued or something) =X I did not enjoy but I did have some good time (ugh what am I saying -_-") But hey!!.. one good thing about this ball is the...

Complimentary tickets to Ministry of Sound (MOS)!! I didn't enjoy much inside as there are no real kakis for such event.. Finally, since the lighting of the room is always at dark conditions, my camera cannot take good pictures with it so I didn't take much photos that night.. sad right? How I wish I have a DSLR in my hands.. dream on.. dream on..
