wonders of the HD world..

I'm lovin' my Dell XPS M1530 =P Why? Because this beauty have HDMI port and it paired very well with my home's HDTV :) Just plug in the HDMI cable to the HDTV and tadaa!!

you will have a uber screen for your computer now!! :X this is definitely breathtaking when watching HD movies and such ;D

Okayy.. I'm not trying to show off now.. I just want to explain what's the fuss about HD stuffs now so that you all will not feel so lost in this modern (now not tomorrow nor future) world.. =P First of all, why the heck is HDMI? Basically HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. So HD is High Definition in this case not High Distinction lol.. :P

Here's a simple example.. If you got time and the connection, go ahead - click on the Langkawi Eagle picture to view the 1080p (1920x1080) resolution of the picture.. you will somehow notice the difference.. but if you don't have the time to load such high resolution picture or you cannot notice a thing.. look at the picture below..

Yup.. you will be able to notice there's a distortion at half of the eagle.. Ok.. so what? Well, on the left is a non-HD resolution upscaled to 1080p resolution (which cause the pixelation) while the picture on the right is as good as an 1080p resolution.. To make things simple, on the left is your normal bulky TV at home while on the right is those slim HDTV that you can find in the market now..

So what's the point? Okayy.. HDTV show more accurate details of an image.. you can see mostly everything in the picture clearly as compared to the old televisions.. That is why HDTV produce great video quality! The downside of the HD world is that it enable us see more pimple, pigmentation, scar, mole, etc. in a picture OMG!!..

Haha.. I know I no need to get permission from him to use his photo because he "don't care"!! xD

Please note that HDTV have different resolution as well! 720p, 1080i, and 1080p is the highest resolution for now.. so you might want to take note of this if you want to buy a HDTV =D The big difference in HDTV is also the choice of plasma HDTV or LCD HDTV.. OMG it's a big headache if you want to buy a HDTV I tell you!! :P Oops.. i'm running out of time.. till next time~ bye bye!
